Our Purpose
We’re on a mission, and it’s a big one. We want to help end factory farming.
Making ethical pet food and treats sounds like a strange way to achieve this, but it actually makes sense. Our pets are the second largest consumers of intensively farmed animals on the planet. This equates to literally billions of kilos of meat, most of which are the bi-products of intensively farmed animals. Â
Imagine if this produce came instead from animals that are raised in a free-range (for the whole of life) system that supports their natural environment.
The impact would be massive enough to change the world.
As humans, we are the world’s largest consumers of factory farmed animals. Our pets are the second largest. Our goal at Frontier Pets is to help end factory farming and we believe that our pets can play a big role in achieving this.
Made from 100% free-range protein and organic produce sourced directly from Aussie farmers practising sustainable agriculture, this pet food is better for your pet and better for the planet.
So not only are you feeding good, you're doing good. Now that is "Goodness Beyond the Bowl".

Our Product
Frontier Pets food is formulated to meet or exceed the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) and the National Research Council (NRC) UK to be a complete and balanced food for adult dogs, puppies, and adult cats.
Frontier Pets dog food is freeze-dried. This is a very clever process that removes all of the water from the raw ingredients, leaving the original calorie and nutritional content completely intact.
The end result is a dry food that can be kept in a warm dry space in your cupboard. And it can be kept there for up to 2 years without any spoilage or need for preservatives.
When you’re ready to feed your dog, you just add warm water to the dry ingredients and it reconstitutes to its original raw form. It’s clever and it’s nutritionally off-the-charts good!
Freeze-drying may seem sophisticated, but it's not a new concept. Consider your instant noodles; the noodles, along with the tiny peas and carrots, are freeze-dried. Coffee, camping meals, military rations, and astronaut food often undergo the same process.
Essentially, freeze-drying is a technique that extracts water from food. Since water is a primary component, the resulting product is approximately four times lighter. The great news is that the food's nutritional value is preserved, as only the water is removed.
When you reintroduce water into Frontier Pets food, you restore the food to its original state. That's why the peas in your instant noodles still look and taste like peas after you add water, and why
Frontier Pet food is so appealing to your dog—it's real meat and vegetables.
As you can imagine, puppies have different nutritional needs to adult dogs. Puppies have a whole lot of growing to do. They are growing in general size and need higher levels of protein to achieve that.
Because they are growing bones, so they have a higher requirement for calcium, phosphorus and other mineral levels. They are also growing brains and nervous tissue and skin, so they need extra and specific fatty acids for that.
Which is why in Frontier Pets puppy food recipe, we add extra ingredients like green lipped mussel and extra calcium for growing pups. Our puppy food and adult dog food recipes are specifically optimised for their life stage.
